The 18-hole "Shell Landing" course at the Shell Landing Golf Club facility in Gautier, Mississippi features 7,024 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 128 on ? grass. Designed by Davis Love, III, the Shell Landing golf course opened in 2000. Kenny Hughes manages the course as the General Manager.

The greens are large and undulating, the holes are imaginative and challenging, and the scenery is nice. Very few holes have houses along them and many play along or over salt marshes.

The amenities and staff are first rate, but the value at full price just may not be there for this budget-minded golfer. However, they had adjusted the price to $50 so the savings from the regular fee compensated for the frustration of good putts wandering off line due to the waffle-iron surface. Very little noticeable hurricane damage, accept for trying to get to the course as the bridge from Biloxi is out. Very well maintained. Difficult for the weekend hacker, but not so hard you hate playing. Several places to make some nice shots. Service has been good to great each time we've played. This course is in one word, "OUTSTANDING"! The course offers plenty of challenge but, is not overbearing. The greens, fairways, and bunkers are perfectly manicured and the scenery is top notch. The Staff is great as well. We drive from Tennessee for this course at least twice a year along with a dinner visit to Mary Mahoney's resturant in Biloxi. This course is a MUST PLAY!
