The 18-hole "Tramark" course at the Tramark Golf Course facility in Gulfport, Mississippi features 6,287 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 68.5 and it has a slope rating of 116. Tramark golf course opened in 1967. Billy Applewhite manages the course as the Golf Professional. This short course is highlighted by all the water hazards and trees incorporated into its design. The signature hole is #8, a 470-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg right fairway, and requiring an approach shot over water to the green. Tee times are only reserved during February, March and April. It could have been worse, but there were signs that this once was a nice enough municipal course (like the burnt-out clubhouse right near the bayou)...Anyway, some of the greens are not in the best shape, with bare dirt patches, and most are dry and hard. There is very little in the way of services - just a trailer starter shack - but the people are very friendly!
